TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PLEASE NOTE:- When your new hood is fitted, it will be difficult to close. This is due to the tension in the new fabric. The roof needs TO BE LEFT CLOSED for at least 4 days to allow the hood to stretch. This is perfectly normal & it will stretch to the desired amount naturally.

 

Please Note....
1.   We only replace the outer soft top hood unless other works are specified
2.   We do not unerdertake repairs of any kind to hoods or their associated parts.
3.   We do not fit hoods bought elsewhere, we  only fit the hoods that we supply.
4.   We do not supply or fit any kind of removable hard tops.

5.   We do not troubleshoot, repair or service  frames, motors or mechanisms 
6.   We do not modify cars to cabriolets.
7.   We do not supply or fit hoods for vintage or early classic vehicles (Pre 1980's)
8.   We do not supply Hoods for Any roof modified vehicles 
9.   We do not supply hard tops for any vehicles 
10. We do not supply rubber components or seals. These are main dealer parts only.

Supply & Fitting - By Booking A Fitting, You Are Agreeing To These Terms.
Payment Terms....   We require a 50% deposit on all fittings booked. This can be paid by Credit/Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Laser) by telephone. You may also pay by P/O, Cheque, or Cash by registered mail only. Please note that orders will only be made for parts on clearance of payment. Delivery time of hoods and associated parts is 10 working days depending on our suppliers stock levels and colour. When the parts arrive, we will contact you to arrange a fitting date. When your hood is fitted and you are satisfied with our high standard of workmanship, we require the remaining balance IN CASH  ONLY.

Customer Responsibility.....   T he customer is responsible for all associated components pertaining to the outer hood.  These include headlinings, Interlinings, cables, opening mechanisms, rubber seals, fixing points, springs, windows, glass guide runners, frames, electronics, switches, drainage channels, hydraulic pumps and motors. The vehicle must be in good servicable condition and doors aligned, fitting and closing correctly. We cannot and will not be held responsible should seals leak or a component fails during the replacement hood fitting. If water ingress is apparent post fitting, it will not be a fault of the hood or its application. Failure of these components may result in the loss of deposit should we be unable to fit the hood. If the hood is hydraulic or motorised, it is imperative that the vehicle has a fully charged battery, adequate fuel and that the vehicle can be started. We endeavour to do the best that we can if during fitting we discover that parts have failed. We understand that some parts and their condition cannot be determined until the old hood is removed. Before fitting commences, our fitter will insist that you operate the latches, frame & mechanism to ensure that they are in full working order.
Supply & Fitting Guarantee....
Hoods are Guaranteed for 12 months from the day of fitting on a return to workshop basis only. Your guarantee covers the hood and any associated parts that were replaced during fitting such as springs, cables etc.. Plexiglass windows damaged due to missuse, failing to ensure a folding pattern or frost damage is not covered by this guarantee. This guarantee does not cover glass damage or breakage which can be due to heated rear window component failure or damage caused by storage of items on the rear parcel shelf during opening and closing.


Supply Only - If Ordering A Hood To Fit Yourself, You Are Agreeing To These Terms
Supply Only Payment Terms.... 

We require payment in full including Courier & Insurance charges before ordering the parts. This can be paid by Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Laser) by telephone. You may also pay by P/O, Cheque, or Cash by registered mail only. Please note that orders will only be made for parts on clearance of payment. Delivery time of hoods and associated parts is 10 working days depending on our suppliers stock levels and colour. We only deliver goods via DPD Courier on a 3 - 5 day service. Courier charges vary dependent on weight as hoods with glass rear screens weigh more. All of our Courier Transfers are tracable. The customer agrees to pay the courier insurance for the part. Payment by C/C incurs a 2% charge on the full amount.

Returns...   No returns can be accepted unless the item was supplied in error by Car Hoods Ireland. The item and associated packaging must be in original condition with no indication that attempts to fit the part have been made.

IT IS THE CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY TO ADVISE US OF ANY ITEMS LOST DAMAGED OR INCOMPLETE  WITHIN
A MAXIMUM OF 24 HOURS OF THE SIGNED DELIVERY DATE.  NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS TIME.
